5. How the QRYou platform is used to provide IntroJuice
IntroJuice provides its services using the QRYou technology platform.
Your commercial relationship is with The Summit Studios Ltd trading as IntroJuice. You purchase the service from IntroJuice, pay IntroJuice and receive customer support from IntroJuice.
The underlying QRYou technology platform is operated separately by Thryve Studios Ltd trading as QRYou.
When an IntroJuice account is established, account invitations and certain automated service communications may therefore originate from QRYou.
Personal information entered into or generated through the QRYou platform is stored and processed within QRYou's systems.
IntroJuice has administrative access to customer information within the QRYou administration system where this is reasonably necessary to:
set up and administer customer accounts;
manage the services supplied to customers;
provide customer support;
investigate problems;
manage users and access;
assist customers with their accounts; and
administer the commercial relationship between IntroJuice and the customer.
IntroJuice does not routinely download or maintain a separate database containing customer data held within QRYou.
6. Information processed through QRYou
Depending on how a customer uses the service, information processed through QRYou may include:
business information;
names and contact information;
employee or staff information;
profile photographs;
job titles and biographies;
email addresses and telephone numbers;
public business and member profile information;
QR code information;
profile visits and interactions;

Some information placed on a QRYou business or member profile is intended to be publicly accessible.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have an appropriate lawful basis and authority to provide employee or other personal information for use within the service and to make selected information publicly available.
The way information is processed within the underlying QRYou platform is described in more detail in the QRYou Privacy Policy:

We only process personal information where we have a lawful basis for doing so.
8. Our lawful bases for processing
Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on the following lawful bases under UK data protection law.
Contract
We process information where it is necessary to take steps at the request of a prospective customer or to provide and administer services under our contract with a customer.
Legitimate interests
We may process information where it is reasonably necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
These interests may include:
responding to business enquiries;
operating and improving IntroJuice;
managing customer relationships;
providing customer support;
administering accounts;
maintaining appropriate business records;
understanding how our website is used; and
protecting our business and services.

We may process or retain information where required to comply with legal, regulatory, taxation or accounting obligations.
Consent
Where processing requires your consent, including certain uses of non-essential cookies, we will ask for that consent.
Where we rely upon consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
9. Marketing and other Summit Studios services
We do not use website enquiries to add people to a general marketing mailing list, and IntroJuice does not currently operate a newsletter.
If you contact us about IntroJuice, we will use your information primarily to respond to and discuss that enquiry.
During an existing business conversation, we may also tell you about another product or service provided by The Summit Studios Ltd where we reasonably believe it may be relevant to your business or the requirements being discussed.
We will not sell your contact information to another organisation for marketing.
You can ask us not to discuss or contact you about other products or services at any time by emailing hello@IntroJuice.uk.
10. Who we may share information with
We do not sell personal information.
We may share or make information available where reasonably necessary to operate IntroJuice, including with:
Squarespace, which provides the hosting, website, form and analytics services used by IntroJuice.uk;
Thryve Studios Ltd trading as QRYou, which operates the underlying QRYou technology platform used to provide IntroJuice services;
professional advisers, accountants, insurers and other suppliers where reasonably necessary;
payment and banking providers involved in processing payments or maintaining our business accounts; and
regulators, courts, law enforcement agencies or other authorities where we are legally required to provide information.
We only disclose information where there is an appropriate reason to do so.
11. International processing
Some technology and service providers used by IntroJuice or by the underlying QRYou platform may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we expect the relevant safeguards or lawful transfer mechanisms to be used.
Information about processing performed within QRYou and its technology infrastructure is available in the QRYou Privacy Policy.
12. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of our contractual, legal, accounting, security and operational requirements.
The appropriate retention period therefore depends upon the type of information involved.
For example:
enquiry information may be retained while an enquiry is active and afterwards where reasonably necessary for business administration and record keeping;
customer and contractual information may be retained throughout the customer relationship and afterwards where required for accounting, taxation, contractual or legal purposes;
invoices and financial records may be retained for the periods required by applicable UK law; and
information stored within QRYou is subject to the retention arrangements applicable to the QRYou platform.
The current QRYou Privacy Policy states that cancelled or unpaid business account data is scheduled for deletion 30 days after cancellation, non-payment or failure to renew, with protected backup copies potentially remaining for up to a further 30 days through the normal backup rotation.
13. Public profiles
An important feature of IntroJuice is the ability for businesses and their people to make professional information available through public profiles provided using QRYou.
Information deliberately published on a public business or member profile may be viewed by anyone who obtains or follows the relevant link or QR code.
Publicly accessible information may also be copied, shared, cached, archived or stored by third parties.
Businesses and users should therefore only publish information that is appropriate to make publicly available.
More information about public QRYou profiles is available in the QRYou Privacy Policy.
14. Cookies
IntroJuice.uk uses cookies and similar technologies associated with Squarespace and Squarespace Analytics.
You can control non-essential cookies through the cookie consent options provided on the website.
For more information, please read our Cookie Policy.
15. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse.
We also use established third-party technology providers, including Squarespace and QRYou, to deliver parts of our services.
However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.
Customers and authorised users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should contact us promptly if they believe their account or information may have been compromised.
16. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights including the right to:
request access to personal information held about you;
request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
request deletion of personal information in certain circumstances;
request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
object to certain processing;
object to direct marketing;
receive certain personal information in a portable format where applicable; and
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights are not absolute and may depend upon the circumstances and lawful basis on which information is being processed.
To exercise your rights in relation to information controlled by IntroJuice, contact hello@IntroJuice.uk.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.
Where your request relates specifically to information processed within the QRYou platform, we may need to work with QRYou to fulfil the request.
17. Complaints
If you have a concern about how IntroJuice handles your personal information, please contact us first at hello@IntroJuice.uk so that we have an opportunity to investigate.

18. Links to other websites
IntroJuice.uk may contain links to other websites and services.
Once you follow a link to another website, its own privacy practices and policies will apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of unrelated third-party websites.
Where you access QRYou as part of your IntroJuice service, you should also read the QRYou Privacy Policy because it explains in more detail how information is processed by the underlying platform.
19. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including where our services, technology providers, data-processing activities or legal obligations change.
